When I first stepped onto this path of awakening, inner work, choosing a different kind of life, I thought it would feel… lighter.
More ease. More clarity. More love.
I imagined flow, connection, soul-aligned people.
I thought, “If I do the inner work, everything will fall into place.”
And honestly? That’s what many of us are led to believe. Between the books, retreats, and glowing Instagram posts, there’s this unspoken promise:
Awaken, and life will get easier. But what we’re not often told is this: awakening cracks things open. And often, it gets messier before it gets clearer.
The deeper I connected to Spirit, to my body, breath, and truth, the more I was called to speak up, set boundaries, and let go of roles I’d spent years perfecting.
It shook everything.
Comforts that made me secure.
Identities that defined me.
But beneath it all, I found a version of myself I could finally trust. Not because she’s perfect, but because she’s present. Steady. Real. Because she no longer abandons herself to make others comfortable.
I’m no longer interested in the drama or endlessly fixing myself.
I’m here for the joy.Early on, I was the serious seeker. The perfect yogi, trying to do it “right.” Now, I invite in play. Laughter. Lightness. Because healing doesn’t have to be heavy.
I used to think the discomfort meant I was doing something wrong. Now I know, it’s the sacred middle. Where the old no longer fits, and the new hasn’t fully arrived. Where you’re not lost… you’re becoming.
This path didn’t lead me to a perfectly curated life.
It led me to truth.
It stripped me bare… and is giving me back to myself.
If you’re there too, I see you. And I promise, you’re not doing it wrong.
You’re just coming home to yourself.
