Something happened recently that didn’t go the way I expected.
It threw me off, triggered me, and my mind jumped in with the usual spiral: What did I do wrong? Should I have done more? Thought it through better?
Then I caught myself.
I wasn’t in the present moment.
So I paused.
Got quiet.
Breathed.
And looked around. Noticed the trees. The plants. The sky. And I saw how everything in nature is always provided for.
They’re not stressing about whether they’ll get enough water. They’re not wondering if they’re doing it right. They’re just being trees.
Present. Trusting. Rooted. And in that moment, I remembered: I’m okay, too. I have everything I need right here. I remembered, I get to choose how I respond. And how I respond shapes what happens next.
It’s all energy. What I put into this moment… is what I’ll get out of it.
So I chose to trust. To feel what was there. To believe that if it’s happening, it’s required for me, even if I don’t yet understand why.
And in that choice, something softened. I felt lighter.
Yet, when I got home, I could still feel something lingering. Anxiety. Restlessness. I noticed myself avoiding again, doing little things to stay busy.
Then I stopped. And said to myself, “No. Be with this.”
So I laid down.
Breathed.
Felt what was there.
No story, just felt it.
And then came the tears. Unexpected. Unexplained. But honest.
And after that… something shifted. I felt clear. Grounded. And then, the next steps came to me. Not from force. Not from strategy. But from the momentum of life itself moving through me.
What would’ve felt hard… felt light. Easy. Even playful. I followed the inspiration, curious to see where it would take me.
That’s the beauty of presence.
And the wisdom of the breath.
It doesn’t push. It invites.
And it brings you back to what’s true.
Trust that the next step will come when you stop trying to figure it all out, and just be here, now, in this.
Because how you meet this moment? That’s what shapes what comes next.
